    Description

Activated Carbon Fibre Mat - For  Aluminium Air Battery/Fuel Cell Cathode.
Must be 21 years of age or older.  Always utilise safety goggles and lab gloves when working in Aluminium Air batteries.  Work Outside.
Always dump out battery and wash out.  Do not leave standing unhooked to a load - can generate Hydrogen gas.
(1ea) Pre-trimmed to fit in CD Jewel Box type single cell .7V and 30mA to 50mA cell.
1 - Edges are glued with sealant on both sides to stop strands of carbon fibre from shorting out the unit.
A - This mat is used in several structural formats of the Al/Air battery/fuel cell
(1ea) untrimmed mat 6" x 6" for development of various experimental anode types

Note - The ability to use ANOVA software critical to the basic methods of modern science and engineering.
Once the basic kit is up and running, the next thing is to begin to understand how the system works.
Understanding the statistical methods utilized by the ANOVA is like being able to see colour in a colour blind world.
The best way to learn it is the way the Chinese learn Chinese - from birth.
The brightness of the candle in the picture is the result of ANOVA optimization.
Engineers that understand the ANOVA methods can optimize the performance of any product from a candle to a rocket ship.
The  Experimenter's Package contains the URL of free-ware programs that allow the researcher to perform modern optimization experiments.
We can assist you in getting the optimization software up and running.
Once you can optimize a complex multivariate system like the Air Battery Candle you can optimize other multivariate systems.
Above uses a 10 to 12 Lumen pocket projector
Note that outside the screen does not get dimmer as you move away from it.
A small Al-Air Battery powered projector could light a great big screen or room if the walls were covered with this screen material a low power consumption projector could light the room and/or provide ambiance.
It was developed as a solar powered projection system for remote native people
Above shows the comparison of a Hyper Mode .25Watt Al-Air battery and a Std. as seen on TV E-Candle. The E-Candle produces enough light to illuminate a 1 car garage enough for limited movement.
Above shows the .75Watt Aluminium Air batter that can be built from the items in the kit. The 2 quart battery will run on a 1/4" diameter aluminium rod for four days continuous operation with one recharge.. After that time the rod will thin to 1/8" diameter. Larger diamerer rods will last longer. Flow reactor type fuel cells could run continuously. The power output of the cell is essentially unlimited with a theoretical power density for aluminium of 8KWh/kilogram
