THESE WERE PURCHASED FROM A WELL KNOWN 20th CENTURY LEATHER GOODS MANUFACTURER ENGAGED IN MILITARY CONTRACTS FROM WORLD WAR I TO WORLD WAR II THROUGH THE VIETNAM WAR.
I BELIEVE THESE WERE USED ON HIGH END OFFICERS HOLSTERS OR GEAR. I BELIEVE THESE WERE USED IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR AND PERHAPS EARLIER. THE EAGLE IS PERCHED ON AN ANCHOR SO THEY LOOK TO BE NAVAL.
ANY EXPERT INFO ON THE EXACT USE OF THESE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
The buttons or snap caps feature a full eagle surrounded by 10 stars. The perimeter of it has a polished beveled edge. They are gold plated brass.
